Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English artist and singer. Jessie was first noticed for her unique style of music that incorporates soul vocals with pop, hip-hop, and electropop. Apart from her numerous nominations, she's been nominated for the "Critics Choice Brit Award" and the BBC's Sound of 2011". Her music career got underway when she was 11 years old when Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in the musical Whistle Down the Wind. She later joined the 'National Youth Musical Theater' and appeared in their production of "The Late Sleepers," which premiered in 2002. She came into prominence in 2011 with her debut studio album "Who You Are,' which was released on February 28. The album was a huge success from the beginning. In the first week the album was sold out to 105,000 people in the UK and 34,000 across the US. It topped the charts at second in the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie is also well-known for her work in the field of charity and is involved in charities like 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
